A canopy above a child’s bed does something to a room. Nothing dramatic, but in exactly the right way: the corner becomes softer, the atmosphere warmer, and a child’s imagination simply starts working harder. Ferm Living’s Patch Bed Canopy is one of those things. With playful colour blocks in organic cotton—GOTS-certified—it works just as well above a bed as in a corner of the room as the ideal reading or dreaming spot. The soft textures and colourful patchwork immediately give the children’s room character without making it feel cluttered. There is craftsmanship here, along with a thoughtful awareness: this is a product made to last.

FAQ

From what age is this canopy suitable? As soon as a child no longer sleeps in a cot with bars, a canopy is a lovely addition above the bed. In terms of atmosphere and safety, the Patch Canopy works best above a child’s bed or in a play corner where children cannot pull on it. For very young children, it is recommended to hang it out of reach.

How do I hang the Ferm Living canopy? The canopy comes with a steel ring at the top. You attach it to the ceiling with a hook or ceiling hook—you will need to provide this yourself. It takes about fifteen minutes, and the result is immediately striking.

Does this canopy combine well with other Ferm Living products? Absolutely. The Patch Canopy’s patchwork colour palette pairs beautifully with other pieces from the Ferm Living children’s collection, such as the Arch cushions or the Landscape bedding. But it also works well with other brands in the children’s room—the design is versatile enough.

Can I also use the canopy in a play corner? Yes, and that is actually one of the nicest ways to use it. Hang it in a corner of the room above a few cushions and you have created a small retreat. Children love it.
