Finally! After a long autumn and winter period where you have often been in a lot, spring and summer is finally there! So go outside and enjoy the wonderful warm weather!
With the cold weather you probably dressed your baby nice and warm, a nice warm hat, a thick one blanket And sometimes with a wonderfully warm heat bag.
But how do you actually keep your baby cool with the warm weather?
Baby room
Babies are less able to handle the heat than we do, so it is very important to protect your little one against overheating.
Be the first to try to keep the baby room as cool as possible; Did you know that the perfect temperature of a baby room is between 16-20 degrees?
If you have shutters, it will keep it closed as much as possible during the day, or else the curtains closed all day. You could possibly turn on a small air conditioner during the day or hold the fan. Make sure that your baby is not on the way or can get close to the air conditioning or fan.
In warm weather, there is a light summer sleeping bag or a large one Swaddle Cloth as a blanket very nice. Preferably do not use synthetic substances, this can really sweat. Bedding Cotton is really great here!
Before you go to sleep yourself, check if your little one is not too cold, you can always have a light summer overtake it.
Pram
In the summer and spring the weather is often wonderful to go out, a nice day away or a nice walk in the area.
When the weather gets warmer, it is no longer necessary to use a thick baby blanket in the pram. Use a nice summer blanket as an alternative, a nice light -hearted big one Swaddle or hydrophilic canvas Instead of a blanket. These often feel light on the skin and ensure that your little one does not get it too cold immediately. If the weather is really hot, then you can only put your baby in the romper in the pram or even only in the diaper.
It can get pretty hot in the pram. Try to walk in the shade as much as possible (sometimes much nicer for yourself) and make sure that there can be enough fresh air in the pram. So do not close it by, for example, hanging a hydrophilic cloth in front!
Most pram has the opportunity to hang a parasol, it protects against the sun, so that you can put the hood of the pram down for fresh air.
Regularly check your baby with the hands, feet or neck whether he or she is not too hot or too cold. The body temperature of a baby can fall very quickly, so that it starts to get cold. So you can still have a light summer blanket or Swaddle Lay over your little one or put on an airy sleeping bag.
And not unimportant, let your baby drink enough at all times! Give extra bottles with water in addition to breast or bottle feeding.
