What exactly is toile de jouy? Toile de jouy is a classic French style featuring small drawn scenes connected by swirling linework of leaves or ribbons. Originally a style for adult interiors, here it is adapted for the children's room with scenes a child can recognize.

Does red wallpaper also fit in a calm children's room? Burgundy red is richer than white or beige, but the toile de jouy pattern keeps it light. There is enough white space between the scenes to prevent the color from feeling heavy. One accent wall is already convincing, while the rest of the room can remain calm white or natural.

How many rolls do I need? Each roll is 50 cm wide and 10 meters long. Measure the surface to be wallpapered and add 10 to 15 percent for the offset match and the 33.5 cm pattern repeat. Unsure? Send the measurements, and we’ll calculate it together.

Is this wallpaper suitable for a baby’s room? Yes, although burgundy red is a bit more pronounced than the indigo version. Beautiful as an accent wall, and the pattern itself is calm enough not to become overwhelming over time.

What is the difference with Scenes Indigo? Same design, different feel. Indigo is cool and classic, Cherry is warm and bold. Both are available at Kidsbarn, so the choice depends on the rest of the room.
