• Measure the surface: Height × width = number of m². Subtract windows and doors.
• Little Greene paint covers an average of 12–14 m² per litre per coat, depending on the surface and finish.

Number of coats

• Primer coat: Recommended for new or unpainted surfaces and when changing colour (e.g. dark to light).
• Finishing coats: Usually 2 coats. Sometimes 3 for light colours over a dark base.

How many litres do I need?

With average coverage, one litre of paint can cover approximately 14 m² per coat — but use two coats for optimal coverage and colour intensity.

Do I need to use a primer first?

Using a primer such as Wall Primer Sealer is recommended on new or absorbent materials for even adhesion.
