Freehand is blue striped wallpaper with just enough irregularity to bring it to life. The lines are hand-drawn, so each stripe wavers a little differently, making the wall feel drawn rather than printed.

The dusty indigo is calm enough for a nursery and bold enough for a child's room where a desk and bookcase will eventually go. I love it with natural wood, a striped rug in sand tones, and a touch of ochre in a cushion or small lamp.

How many rolls of Freehand Indigo do I need?

One roll is 50 cm wide and 10 meters long. Measure the height of your wall and add 5 cm at the top and 5 cm at the bottom, as recommended by Coordonné. For a 250 cm wall, you can get 3 strips from one roll. Divide the wall width by 50 cm to find the number of strips, then calculate how many rolls you need.

Do I need to match the pattern on these stripes?

No. Freehand has a free match, so you can simply hang each strip next to the previous one. This reduces cutting waste and makes it a great wallpaper if you’re trying it yourself for the first time.

Is blue striped wallpaper too busy for a nursery?

The lines are thin and set against a white background, so the overall look remains light. To keep it extra calm, wallpaper just one wall behind the crib and leave the other walls white.

Can I return Freehand Indigo if I’m not happy with it?

No, this wallpaper is made to order for you and therefore cannot be returned. If you’re unsure about the color, order a sample first. Expect a delivery time of about 2 to 3 weeks.

This wallpaper is printed especially for you. Because every order is custom-made, rolls cannot be returned or exchanged.

Each print run is unique, which means slight colour variations may occur. We therefore recommend ordering all the rolls you need at once.
