Clouds, birds, dots, and a little sun in warm brown encircle the natural cotton. During the day, a tranquil 45 cm sphere hangs from the ceiling. When the light is switched on, the fabric glows softly and the figures stand out in dark relief. Almost as if the evening sky had come indoors.

I included Skye in the collection because it is playful without becoming childish. The tones are earthy and calm, so it works just as well above a changing table in a nursery as in the room of an eight-year-old. And because of its size, it immediately becomes the room's main lamp, rather than just an extra light.

2. About Ferm Living

Ferm Living is a Danish design brand from Copenhagen, founded in 2006. The children's collection is made with the same attention to detail as the furniture and lighting for adults: calm colors, natural materials, and shapes that stand the test of time. Skye is the series in which the sky takes center stage. In this lampshade, that theme has been worked out by hand in embroidery on a steel frame.

5.
